Nabors Business Scholarship: Global Business Development Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund will be to provide scholarships for undergraduate students in the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. The gift is made in honor of former Nabors CEO Gene Isenberg. Two categories of scholarships will be provided from the Fund. Students from any major in the Isenberg School will be eligible for consideration.
The two scholarships are:
GLOBAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP
As a corporation conducting business on a global scale, Nabors recognizes the need for students to gain hands on experience in an international business environment. For this specific purpose we propose a scholarship that will facilitate student development in the area of global business acumen. Recognizing that we live in a global economy, it is key to provide opportunities for students to develop skill sets which will allow them to be successful in this business environment. These scholarships will be targeted at creating opportunities for Isenberg students to enhance their business degree via pursuits such as, but not limited to, studying abroad, completion of international internships or internships with an international company in the U.S., and working in close cooperation with the Isenberg School’s other activities focused on building a better understanding of global business. Students who are combining their studies of business with supplementary interdisciplinary studies in the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) are particularly encouraged to apply.
