Children Of Veterans Scholarships
Scholarship for children of veterans, who reside in one of the 102 counties in Illinois and who attend or will attend the University of Illinois at any of its campuses -- Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, Health Sciences Center, or Springfield. Scholarship recipients must be one of the following; child of deceased veteran, child of disabled veteran, child of living veteran who is not disabled. Parent must be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and must have served between the specified dates or received the specified medal for the following wars: World War II, Korean Conflict, Vietnam Conflict, or the Southwest Asia Conflict (Service Medal). Up to four students (one per war/conflict) are chosen from each county in Illinois. Applicants must be admitted to the U of IL and must submit: completed application, proof of parents service in the U.S. Armed Forces, proof of service dates and receipt of appropriate medal if applicable, and ACT scores.
