Stanford University Scholarships

Stanford Financial Need Scholarships
Stanford's financial aid program is need-based and eligibility is determined by your family's financial circumstances. If Stanford determines that an applicant for financial aid cannot meet the year's standard educational budget from personal, family and outside resources, Stanford will offer or recommend financial aid resources to meet those costs. In awarding financial aid, Stanford first includes "self-help" (i.e. student loans and anticipated job earnings). If the computed need is greater than this self-help expectation, Stanford will award scholarship funds to meet the remaining need. With the exception of aid to student-athletes awarded under the rules of the NCAA, ALL scholarship aid at Stanford is based on demonstrated financial need. Stanford students do not apply for individual scholarships. Scholarships are assigned to each student in whatever amount is required to cover the need that remains after that student's other resources have been taken into consideration. more...
