Avid Scholarship
The AVID Scholarship Program at Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) is made possible by the generous support of Orange County philanthropists and community leaders committed to the academic and life success of AVID students. Working in partnership with the Draper Family Foundation Fund, Dad’s House, Beatrice Levin Scholarship Fund, the Orange County Department of Education’s AVID Program, SchoolsFirst and the AVID Orange County Dollars for Scholars, the AVID Scholarship Program at OCCF provides scholarships to qualified AVID graduating seniors in Orange County.
Eligibility
A student enrolled in the AVID program for a minimum of three years
A student who demonstrates a commitment to higher education despite personal and/or financial obstacles
A student who has been accepted to and will attend an accredited four-year college or university
A student who has earned a minimum GPA of 2.8
A student who demonstrates a commitment to the community

Brad Evans Scholarship
The Brad Evans Foundation Fund Scholarship was established by the Evans family to honor their son and brother whose life was characterized by the qualities of integrity, loyalty, and commitment.
Brad Evans was an excellent student, talented athlete, a wonderful son and a terrific brother. He had a gift of bringing people together which was the result of his inclusive nature. He was known for his sense of humor, creativity, and spirit of adventure.
Brad graduated from Corona del Mar High School in 1996, where he was an academic letterman, editor of the school newspaper, a starting guard on the varsity basketball team and co-captain of the varsity baseball team. He then attended the University of California at Berkeley as a Regent’s and Chancellor’s Scholar. Brad passed away four months before he was to graduate. This scholarship was established to assist a talented and versatile student with first year expenses at U.C. Berkeley.
Eligibility
An Orange County high school senior from the Newport-Mesa Unified School District
A student who has been accepted to an accredited program at the University of California, Berkeley and enrolls as a full time student
Preference may be given to students who have shown an outstanding record in their chosen field
Minimum GPA of at least 3.5
An outstanding student in their chosen field with a demonstrated record of community service and leadership.

Heef: Hispanic Education Endowment Fund Scholarship
The Orange County (OC) Hispanic Educational Endowment Fund (HEEF) serves US Citizens, Permanent Residents and Dream Act/ AB 540 students who live in Orange County, California only. HEEF offers competitive academic scholarships for OC high school and community college transfers who qualify for need based financial aid and who enroll at a 4-year college or university in Fall 2023. Individual awards begin at $2,500.

Jessica Lynn Herman Memorial Scholarship
Awards from the Jessica Lynn Herman Memorial Scholarship will be made to provide scholarships to graduating seniors from the Huntington Beach High School District.
Eligibility
Plan to enroll as a full time student (minimum of 12 units) in an accredited college, or university
Student must have a passion for both the humanities and the sciences as demonstrated through either extracurricular activities or academic motivation.
A student who is a mentor or a tutor
Minimum GPA of at least 3.0
A student who has demonstrated selflessness through either extracurricular activities or through daily interactions with individuals in the community

Lee Brennan Memorial Scholarship
The Lee Brennan Memorial Scholarship Fund is a permanently endowed fund with the Orange County Community Foundation that was created by the Brennan family as an enduring legacy to their son and brother, Lee. Lee was an exceptional young man as well as a gifted athlete and student. He competed for 4 years on various athletic teams at Aliso Niguel High School. Lee was a member of the 1996 undefeated CIF championship football team and competed in the CIF wrestling championships in 1997 and 1998. Lee was named Aliso Niguel High School’s Male Athlete of the Year during his senior year. As a six-year member of the Crown Valley Diving Team, Lee competed in 1 Senior and 3 Junior Olympic National Championships. In 1998, he won the 3-meter event at the Western National Championships and set a new CIF Southern Section Division II diving record, scoring 565 points. During his senior year of high school, Lee served as president of the auto club and graduated with a 3.5 GPA. He was also very active in his local church youth program. Lee loved life and lived it to the fullest. His greatest gifts were his compassion, humbleness and his love for people and the Lord. This scholarship provides a permanent legacy in his memory.
Eligibility
A graduating high school senior from Aliso Niguel High School who is active in athletics OR an active participant of a U.S. Southern Pacific Association Diving Team
A student who plans to enroll full time at an accredited college, university, or trade school (Examples of acceptable trade school programs include but are not limited to: law enforcement, firefighting, auto or computer repair, etc.)
A student with a minimum GPA of 2.0

Michael A. Hunter Memorial Scholarship
The Michael A. Hunter Memorial Scholarship Fund awards annual scholarships to help improve the quality of life for those affected by Leukemia/Lymphoma. The focus of the scholarship is supporting secondary education for Leukemia/Lymphoma patients and survivors and/ or children of non-surviving Leukemia/Lymphoma patients. This scholarship is offered nationwide.
Eligibility
Graduating high school senior, community college and 4 year university students who are Leukemia/Lymphoma patients or survivors and/or are children of non-surviving Leukemia/Lymphoma patients may apply. Siblings may not apply.
A note from the treating doctor must also be supplied to certify that the applicant or the applicant’s parent has/had
