Chief Executives Network (Cen) Scholarship
The Chief Executives Network for Manufacturing of the Capital Region, Inc. (CEN) is an association of manufacturers located in the Capital Region. To encourage students to consider careers in manufacturing, CEN will once again be offering $1,000 scholarships to be awarded to applicants who are:
• High school seniors graduating in 2020 and accepted at an accredited two or four year college, university, or trade school; or
• College students enrolled at the undergraduate level in an accredited two or four year college, university or trade school; and
• Students planning to enroll in a major which can lead to qualifying for a position with a manufacturer; and
• Residents of one of the following eleven Capital Region counties: Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington.
• CEN limits the number of scholarships that an individual can win to 2 in any 4 year period.

Dave Goyette Memorial Vocational Scholarship
The Dave Goyette Memorial Vocational Scholarship program was established to honor the memory of David J. Goyette, with the generous contributions from his wife, Gloria Kavanah, and numerous people whose lives he touched. Dave was a force of goodness in the world. He had a gift for making everyone he encountered feel valued and was known for his quiet acts of kindness, uplifting words, and sharing of whatever knowledge might help someone. This scholarship is intended to benefit vocational education students that reflect Dave’s character traits.
Students who either are enrolled, or plan to enroll, in a certificate or degree program for the skilled trades of Heating,Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, welding, electrical, building construction, machining, auto collision repair and refinishing, engine repair; or to teach in a vocational field, are encouraged to apply.
$2,500 in scholarship funds will be awarded on or around December 1, 2020 for the spring 2021 semester.
To be eligible, the student must:
reside in Schenectady County, New York.
be enrolled in, or in the process of enrolling in, a vocational certification or degree program.

Current students must provide proof of a G.P.A. above 2.5.
Scholarship funds will be paid in July 2021 for the Fall 2021 semester. The scholarship can be paid either directly to the recipient or the institution.
Applications must be postmarked on or before May 28, 2021. Late applications are not accepted.

Second Chance Foundation Scholarship
Second Chance Scholarships are aimed at students who not only have financial need, but who also have overcome tremendous personal obstacles in order to pursue an education. The goal of the program is to reward those who demonstrate the initiative and desire to achieve self-sufficiency through education. Recipients are also rewarded for academic success; the higher your grades, the more the award. Recipients must be enrolled for at least six credit hours and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher at the end of the semester in order to receive an award. more...

T. L. Longe Foundation Online Learning Scholarship
To support deserving students who are working full-time while enrolled in online courses at Hudson Valley Community College, in recognition of the different needs demonstrated by working students in comparison with traditional “day-time students.”
Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and have earned a minimum of 15 credit hours to be considered. A letter of recommendation from the student’s current employer is a required component of the student’s application. There is no minimum age, and students of all majors may apply. Recipients must make satisfactory progress toward a degree, and continue with full-time employment, while benefiting from this fund. more...
