Spa Tech Institute-Ipswich is a private, for-profit career school that offers hands-on training in the field of massage therapy and esthetics. The school is located in Ipswich, Massachusetts, about 30 miles north of Boston. Spa Tech Institute-Ipswich was founded in 1992 and is accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA). The school offers four programs: Massage Therapy, Esthetics, Cosmetology, and Nail Technology. The Massage Therapy program is a 900-hour program that can be completed in as little as nine months. The Esthetics program is a 600-hour program that can be completed in as little as six months. The Cosmetology program is a 1,200-hour program that can be completed in as little as 12 months. The Nail Technology program is a 300-hour program that can be completed in as little as three months. All programs at Spa Tech Institute-Ipswich include classroom instruction, as well as hands-on training in a student-run spa. Upon completion of their program, students are eligible to take the state licensing exam.
