The Genesee Valley Board of Cooperative Educational Services Practical Nursing Program is a one-year, full-time program that leads to an Associate in Applied Science degree. The program is accredited by the New York State Board of Nursing and is registered with the New York State Education Department. The program is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a licensed practical nurse. The program consists of classroom, laboratory, and clinical experiences. The classroom and laboratory experiences provide the student with the theoretical knowledge necessary to provide nursing care. The clinical experiences provide the student with the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge to actual patient care situations.
