21st Century Scholars Housing Awards are offered to first-year students who meet the 21st Century Scholars Program requirements designated by the State of Indiana, have earned at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, and finished a minimum of a Core 40 diploma. This scholarship requires that students reside in on-campus housing.
Details:$1,500 ($750 per semester)
Renewable for up to three additional years
Admission deadline: May 1

This scholarship comes in the form of spending authority at Indiana State University’s Barnes & Noble bookstore.

Bakerman Student Research Award
To be eligible, applicants must answer all required questions and submit all required documentation in the Branch by Saturday February 2, 2022 at 2PM.
Applicants will be responsible for providing a copy of the assignment requirements, submitting a 500-750 word essay on the research/writing process and uploading a copy of the final, course-submitted version of the research paper (with bibliography). They must also request a nomination from the professor who taught the course for which the paper was written.

Creative And Performing Arts - Creative Writing
(1) Recipient must be an incoming freshman.
(2) Recipient must have a minimum of 2.5 grade point average in high school.
(3) Recipient must declare a creative writing minor or English major with a creative writing concentration in his/her first year and maintain the minor or concentration in order for the scholarship to renew.
(4) Recipient may receive this annual scholarship for a maximum of four years.
Applicants must submit a sample of fiction, creative nonfiction, and/or poetry for review. For prose, the sample must be at least four pages, and for poetry the sample must consist of at least three poems. Applicants must also provide one letter of recommendation that speaks to the applicant’s creative writing abilities. more...

Creative And Performing Arts - Theatre
(1) The recipient must be a freshman with a declared Theater major,
(2) Recipient must have a minimum of 2.5 grade point average in high school,
(3) Recipient may receive this annual scholarship for a maximum of four years, and
(4) Recipient must also audition or interview for the scholarship. If the recipient is primarily interested in acting, the audition should be a prepared, memorized monologue. If the recipient’s primary area of interest is design/tech, he or she should be prepared to present a portfolio. If the recipient is primarily interested in playwriting, directing, or dramaturgy, he or she should be prepared to present a sample of writing and talk about theater production experiences. The Department of Theater also offers a general concentration. If that is the recipient’s interest, he or she should be prepared to audition or present a portfolio or writing sample.

In conjunction with the ISU Alumni Association, the Jim Hartman Classic Golf Committee is awarding one $500.00 Book Award (awarded in $250 allotments for the fall and spring semesters) to be used for books. The award is not renewable. The application deadline is Thursday, March 1, 2020.
The recipient of the award will meet the following criteria:
- The recipient must be a graduate of a Sullivan County High School
- Applicant must have 32 earned college credits and the recipient must have a minimum 2.7 GPA.
- Applicant must be involved on campus through a student organization, intramurals, Fraternity/Sorority, Community Service, ETC…
The Jim Hartman Classic Golf Committee will make the selection of the recipient from the applications of students who meet the above-listed criteria. The scholarship winner will be announced at the Jim Hartman Classic Golf Outing.

Pi Kappa Alpha Boy Scout Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to Indiana State University students who are members of the Theta Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha and are in the semester following their initiation into the Theta Omicron Chapter, and who meet the following criteria:
Have obtained a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or higher in the semester of their initiation
Have achieved the rank of First Class in the Boy Scouts of America and are therefore eligible to receive a $250 scholarship
Have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of American and are therefore eligible to receive a $500 scholarship
Recipients of the scholarship could receive one or the other scholarship, but not both
More than one scholarship may be awarded in an academic year so long as the amount of the scholarships awarded does not exceed the balance in the spending account
Scholarships are not renewable
The preference is not to award more than $1,000 during each academic year
In the event there are more applicants for the scholarship who have met the above criteria than awardable dollars, the award(s) shall be given to those students with the highest cumulative grade point average
