Tri-County Community College is a public, two-year institution of higher education located in the rural community of Peachtree, North Carolina. The college was established in 1964 as a result of the consolidation of two local technical institutes, and today enrolls over 4,000 students in credit and non-credit programs. The college offers a variety of academic and career-oriented programs leading to the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Applied Science degrees, as well as diploma and certificate programs. In addition to its main campus in Peachtree, Tri-County Community College operates a number of satellite campuses and instructional sites throughout its service area, which includes the counties of Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Jackson, Macon, and Swain.

The college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award degrees at the associate level.
