Adults who are interested in enrolling in any of the programs offered by TCAE must first complete an application form. The application form can be obtained from the TCAE website or from the TCAE office.
Once the completed application form has been received, a TCAE staff member will contact the applicant to schedule an appointment for an intake interview. During the intake interview, the applicant will be asked about their educational goals and needs. The interview will also be used to determine which program or programs would be the best fit for the applicant.
After the intake interview, the applicant will be asked to complete a placement test. The results of the placement test will be used to determine the applicant’s level of proficiency in the subject areas being tested. Based on the results of the placement test, the applicant will be placed in the appropriate program or programs.
There is no charge to apply to TCAE or to take the placement test. However, there are fees associated with the programs and services offered by TCAE. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.
TCAE is accredited by the Commission on Adult Basic Education (COABE).
