Roane State Community College is a two-year college located in east Tennessee, United States. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The college offers associate's degrees, certificates, and continuing education courses in a variety of fields, including business, health care, technology, and the liberal arts.

Roane State was founded in 1971 as Roane County Junior College. It became a four-year institution in 1986 and was renamed Roane State Community College. The college is governed by a nine-member board of trustees, all of whom are appointed by the Tennessee Board of Regents. The college president is Dr. Chris Whaley.

Roane State has four campuses: the main campus in Harriman, Tennessee, and satellite campuses in Crossville, Lenoir City, and Oak Ridge. The college also has a number of off-campus centers located in surrounding communities.

Roane State offers a variety of degree and certificate programs, as well as non-credit courses, through its five academic divisions: Business and Public Services; Health Sciences; Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education; Industrial and Engineering Technologies; and Mathematics, Sciences, and Nursing. The college also has a number of online programs and courses.

Roane State is a member of the Tennessee Board of Regents system, the sixth largest system of public higher education in the United States. The Tennessee Board of Regents is the governing body for 38 public colleges and universities in Tennessee. The system includes six four-year universities, 13 two-year colleges, and 19 community colleges.
