Jefferson Community College (JCC) is a public community college in Watertown, New York. It is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. JCC was founded in 1961 and serves northern New York. It has an enrollment of over 5,000 students. JCC offers over 50 academic programs and awards associate's degrees and certificates. The college is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
JCC's campus is located on 126 acres (0.51 km2) of land in the city of Watertown. The college has several buildings, including an Administration Building, Arts and Sciences Building, Business and Industry Building, Continuing Education Building, Fitness Center, Library, Student Center, and Technical Education Building. JCC also has an on-campus residence hall, which houses over 200 students.
JCC's academic programs are organized into five divisions: Business and Professional Studies; Health, Science and Mathematics; Humanities and Social Sciences; Liberal Arts and Sciences; and Technical and Career Education. The college also offers a variety of continuing education and workforce development programs.
JCC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and competes in Region III. The college fields teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. The JCC men's basketball team has won four NJCAA national championships, most recently in 2019.
