Gavilan College is a public community college in Gilroy, California. It is part of the California Community Colleges System and offers Associates degrees and certificate programs. The college was founded in 1919 and is named after Rancho San Andres de Gavilan, the Mexican land grant that encompassed the area. The college serves the South Santa Clara Valley, which includes the cities of Gilroy, Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Hollister.
