Fort Myers Technical College is a public, two-year technical college located in Fort Myers, Florida. The college offers Associate in Science, Associate in Arts, and Associate in Applied Science degrees, as well as technical certificates.

Fort Myers Technical College was founded in 1948 as Fort Myers Vocational School. The school was created in response to the need for skilled workers in the post-World War II economy. The school initially offered programs in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and electricity. In the 1950s, the school began offering programs in auto mechanics and welding. In the 1960s, the school expanded its programs to include cosmetology, culinary arts, and nursing.

In the 1970s, the school changed its name to Fort Myers Area Vocational-Technical Center and began offering programs in computer programming and medical laboratory technology. In the 1980s, the school changed its name again, this time to Fort Myers Technical Institute, and began offering programs in air conditioning and refrigeration, electronics, and computer-aided drafting. In the 1990s, the school changed its name to Fort Myers Technical College and began offering programs in biotechnology and graphic design.

Today, Fort Myers Technical College offers over 50 programs of study, including aviation, business, healthcare, and manufacturing. The college has an enrollment of over 4,000 students and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
