Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell Campus is a two-year public college located in Roswell, New Mexico. ENMU-R offers associate degrees and certificates in a variety of academic and vocational fields. The campus is part of the Eastern New Mexico University system, which includes four other campuses in Portales, Ruidoso, Carlsbad, and Hobbs.
ENMU-R was founded in 1958 as a branch campus of Eastern New Mexico University. The campus originally offered only night classes, but daytime classes were added in the 1960s. In the 1970s, the campus began offering a wider range of programs, including vocational and technical programs. In the 1980s, the campus underwent a major expansion, adding a new library, student center, and classroom buildings.
Today, ENMU-R offers over 30 associate degree and certificate programs. The campus is home to over 2,000 students, most of whom are from the Roswell area. ENMU-R is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
ENMU-R offers a variety of student services, including academic advising, tutoring, career services, and counseling. The campus also has an active student life, with over 30 clubs and organizations. ENMU-R athletics include men's and women's basketball, cross country, and track and field.
