Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) is a two-year technical college located in Rosemount, Minnesota. The college offers more than 50 programs in a variety of areas, including business, health care, manufacturing, and transportation.

DCTC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The college is also accredited by the Minnesota State Board of Education.

DCTC was founded in 1968 as Dakota County Area Vocational-Technical Institute. The name was changed to Dakota County Technical Institute in 1972, and then to Dakota County Technical College in 1996.

DCTC is part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. The college is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees, six of whom are appointed by the Minnesota State Board of Education and three of whom are appointed by the Dakota County Board of Commissioners.

DCTC has an annual enrollment of more than 5,000 students. The college offers both credit and non-credit programs. Credit programs lead to an associate degree, diploma, or certificate. Non-credit programs are designed for personal enrichment or career development and do not lead to a degree or certificate.

DCTC is located on a 200-acre campus in Rosemount, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis-St. Paul. The campus includes more than 30 buildings, including a library, a student center, and a variety of academic and technical facilities.
