Admission Requirements
City Colleges of Chicago-Kennedy-King College is a public community college in Chicago, Illinois. Kennedy-King College is a part of the City Colleges of Chicago system.
The college is located on the city's South Side in the Englewood community area. The college is accessible by the CTA Red Line and numerous bus routes.
The college offers Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degrees, as well as certificate programs.
To be eligible for admission to Kennedy-King College, applicants must:
1. Be a resident of the State of Illinois
2. Be at least 18 years of age or have a high school diploma or GED
3. Have completed the required high school coursework or equivalent
4. Submit an application and $30 application fee
Applicants who do not meet the above requirements may still be eligible for admission if they have:
1. Completed at least 12 college credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0
2. Completed an Associate's degree or higher
3. Completed the required high school coursework through an accredited home school program
4. Completed the General Educational Development (GED) test with a score of at least 145 on each subject area test
Applicants who have met the above requirements will be asked to complete a placement test to determine their course level.
