Admission Requirements
Central Alabama Community College (CACC) is a two-year institution of higher education located in Alabama, United States. CACC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degrees.
Admission requirements for first-time freshmen include a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and ACT or SAT scores. For transfer students, CACC requires a minimum 2.0 GPA on all college coursework attempted, as well as official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
CACC also offers a number of certificate and diploma programs, which have different admission requirements. For example, the certificate in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology requires a high school diploma or equivalent, while the diploma in Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic requires completion of an accredited EMT-Paramedic program and a valid Alabama EMT-Paramedic license.
In addition to academic requirements, CACC has a number of policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety and security of its students, faculty, and staff. These include a code of conduct, a drug and alcohol policy, and a sexual harassment policy.
