Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a private, non-profit institution located in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1983 by Dr. Josephine Tsai, a world-renowned authority on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The university offers a four-year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (DTCM) program, as well as Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM). The DTCM program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), and the MS and PhD programs are accredited by the National Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NACAMS). Yo San University is also a member of the Association of Accredited Colleges of Traditional Chinese Medicine (AACTCM) and the American Association of Colleges of Traditional Chinese Medicine (AACM).
Yo San University has a strong commitment to academic excellence and providing students with a well-rounded education in TCM. The curriculum is designed to provide a solid foundation in the basic sciences, as well as in the clinical sciences of TCM. The university also offers a unique program in Integrative Medicine, which combines the best of Western and Eastern medicine. In addition to the academic programs, Yo San University also offers a variety of continuing education courses for health care professionals, as well as the general public.
Yo San University is located in the heart of Los Angeles, in the historic Chinatown district. The university is situated on three acres of land, and includes a six-story building with classrooms, laboratories, a library, and a clinic. The clinic is open to the public and provides low-cost, high-quality health care services. Yo San University is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
