West Virginia University at Parkersburg is a public four-year university located in Parkersburg, West Virginia, United States. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. It is the largest college in the state's Community and Technical College System and one of the state's largest public two-year colleges. The school offers over 50 associate degree and certificate programs. The school also has an on-campus residence hall, which houses over 400 students. The university's athletic teams are known as the Riverhawks. The school's colors are green and gold. The school's mascot is a hawk named Swoop. The school's sports teams compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC). The university is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The school's men's and women's basketball teams have won a combined total of six conference championships.
