Admission Requirements
Upper Valley Educators Institute (UVEI) is a private, non-profit institution located in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The school specializes in preparing students for careers in education. The Institute offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as continuing education opportunities for educators.
UVEI is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The Institute is also a member of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU).
Undergraduate programs at UVEI include Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education. The Institute also offers a Master of Education (M.Ed.) program with concentrations in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, and Special Education.
Admission to UVEI is open to all qualified applicants. The Institute does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national or ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other Institute-administered programs.
To be considered for admission to UVEI, applicants must submit a completed application form, along with official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities attended. Applicants must also submit a personal essay, as well as a resume and letters of recommendation.
UVEI has a rolling admissions policy, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Admission decisions are made based on the strength of the applicant's academic record, as well as their personal essay and letters of recommendation.
UVEI does not require applicants to take the SAT or ACT for admission. However, applicants who have not taken either of these exams may be asked to submit additional information, such as a writing sample or an interview, in order to be considered for admission.
