The University of Puerto Rico at Ponce (UPR-Ponce) is a public university in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Founded in 1903 as the first higher education institution in the south of the island, it is the second-largest university in Puerto Rico. UPR-Ponce offers bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in over 50 academic programs through 11 schools and colleges. The university's main campus is located on a hill in the city of Ponce, with additional campuses in Coamo, Mayagüez, and Jayuya.

UPR-Ponce traces its origins to 1903, when the Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Ponce (Ponce School of Arts and Trades) was founded. The school was renamed the Escuela de Agricultura y Artes Mecánicas (School of Agriculture and Mechanical Arts) in 1907 and became a part of the University of Puerto Rico system in 1913. In 1931, the school was renamed again to the Escuela de Industrias y Artes (School of Industries and Arts). UPR-Ponce was officially established as a separate campus of the University of Puerto Rico in 1948 and its current name was adopted in 1962.

The university has grown significantly since its founding, with an enrollment of over 11,000 students in the fall of 2019. UPR-Ponce offers a wide range of academic programs, with over 50 undergraduate and graduate degrees available. The university is organized into 11 schools and colleges, which offer programs in fields such as business, education, engineering, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences.

UPR-Ponce is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and is a member of the Association of American Universities. The university is also home to a number of research centers, including the Center for Advanced Studies in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, the Center for Environmental and Occupational Health, and the Center for Nanotechnology and Molecular Materials.

UPR-Ponce is committed to serving the people of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean region. The university offers a number of programs and services that are designed to meet the needs of the community, including a small business incubator, a cultural center, and a museum. UPR-Ponce also operates a number of extension programs that offer educational opportunities to residents of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
