The University of Puerto Rico at Carolina (UPRC) is a state university located in Carolina, Puerto Rico. Founded in 1903, it is the second-oldest public university in Puerto Rico. UPRC is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in a wide variety of disciplines.
UPRC's campus is situated on a hill in the northern part of Carolina. It is spread out over 200 acres (0.81 km2) and is home to over 15,000 students. The university is organized into 11 schools and colleges, which offer a total of over 200 academic programs.
The school's sports teams, known as the Fighting Cardinals, compete in the NCAA's Division III. The men's and women's basketball teams have both won multiple conference championships.
