The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is an American public university located in Adelphi, Maryland in the United States. UMGC offers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and certificates in over 100 areas of study. The university is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. UMGC is a member of the University System of Maryland.

UMGC was founded in 1947 as the University of Maryland Overseas Division to provide educational opportunities to service members of the United States Armed Forces during and after World War II. In 1970, the Overseas Division became the University of Maryland University College (UMUC). In 2019, UMUC was renamed to UMGC.

UMGC is a leader in online and distance education. The university offers over 100 programs and degrees that can be completed entirely online. UMGC also has over 20 physical locations in the United States and Europe, where students can take classes in person.
