The University of Fort Lauderdale is a private, non-profit university located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. The university is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award bachelor's and master's degrees. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs through its five colleges and schools: the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business, the School of Education, the School of Engineering and Computing, and the School of Nursing.

The University of Fort Lauderdale was founded in 1964 as the Junior College of Broward County. The college was established to provide accessible, affordable, and quality education to the residents of Broward County. In 1968, the college was renamed Broward Community College. In 1971, the college began offering four-year degree programs and was renamed Florida Atlantic University at Broward. In 1974, the university was renamed again, this time to Florida International University at Broward. In 1979, the university became independent of the Florida state university system and was renamed the University of Fort Lauderdale.

The university has a total enrollment of 4,874 students, of which 4,409 are undergraduates and 465 are graduate students. The student-to-faculty ratio is 16:1. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs through its five colleges and schools. The College of Arts and Sciences offers programs in the liberal arts, sciences, and humanities. The School of Business offers programs in business administration, accounting, and finance. The School of Education offers programs in education and counseling. The School of Engineering and Computing offers programs in computer science, engineering, and information technology. The School of Nursing offers programs in nursing and health sciences.

The University of Fort Lauderdale is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award bachelor's and master's degrees. The university is also accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
