The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) is a public university located in Odessa, Texas. It is one of the thirteen campuses of the University of Texas System. As of Fall 2014, the university had a total enrollment of 6,683 students. The university offers bachelor's and master's degrees in a variety of disciplines.

UTPB was established in 1973 as the Odessa Center of the University of Texas System. The university initially offered only upper-level courses leading to degrees from other UT System institutions. In 1982, the university began offering its own bachelor's degree programs. In 1986, the university's name was changed to the University of Texas at Odessa. In 1991, the university was authorized by the UT System Board of Regents to offer graduate programs. The university's name was changed to its current form in 1999.

UTPB is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award bachelor's and master's degrees. The university's athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference.
