The University of Tampa (UT) is a private university in Tampa, Florida. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The university was founded in 1931 as a two-year junior college and became a four-year institution in 1933. The university is situated on 110 acres (0.45 km2) on the Hillsborough River, across from downtown Tampa.

UT offers over 200 programs of study, including undergraduate and graduate degrees. The university is home to the Sykes College of Business, the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the College of Arts and Letters, the College of Natural and Health Sciences, and the Honors College. The university also has a campus in Downtown Tampa, which is home to the John H. Sykes College of Business and the University of Tampa Press.
