The Art Institute of Houston is a private, non-profit college of art and design located in the Montrose district of Houston, Texas, United States. Founded in 1948, it is one of the oldest art schools in the city. The Art Institute of Houston is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate's and bachelor's degrees. The school is a member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design and the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design.

The Art Institute of Houston offers Associate of Applied Science degrees in Culinary Arts, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Media Arts & Animation, and Visual Communications. It also offers Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Media Arts & Animation, and Photography & Videography. In addition to its degree programs, the Art Institute of Houston also offers non-credit continuing education courses in the arts.
