Shepherds Theological Seminary is an accredited institution of higher learning that offers a wide variety of academic programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry degrees. The seminary is located in Cary, North Carolina, a suburb of Raleigh, and is committed to providing a Christ-centered education that equips students for ministry in the local church and beyond.

The seminary was founded in 2002 by Dr. Michael A. G. Haykin, a noted church historian and theologian, and Dr. Stephen J. Nichols, a respected biblical scholar. Together, they envisioned a seminary that would train men and women for gospel-centered ministry and equip them to serve the local church with excellence.

Today, Shepherds Theological Seminary offers a robust curriculum that includes courses in biblical studies, theology, church history, apologetics, and practical ministry. The seminary is also home to a number of research centers and institutes, including the Center for Biblical Studies, the Center for Church Planting, and the Institute for Biblical Counseling.

Shepherds Theological Seminary is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools and is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. The seminary is also affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.
