Founded in 1844 by the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Saint Mary's College is a Catholic, residential, women's college located in Notre Dame, Indiana, adjacent to the University of Notre Dame. Saint Mary's College offers five bachelor's degrees and more than 30 minor programs of study, as well as master's degrees in education and counseling.
Approximately 1,400 students from across the United States and 74 countries live and learn together on the College's beautiful 104-acre campus. The student body represents a wide range of ages, interests, religions, and cultural backgrounds.
Saint Mary's College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The College is also a member of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, the Council of Independent Colleges, and the College Consortium of the Greater Midwest.
The College's rigorous academic program is grounded in the liberal arts and sciences and prepares students for a wide range of careers and graduate study. The faculty is committed to teaching and mentoring students, and the average class size is just 17 students.
