Resurrection University, located in Chicago, Illinois, is a private, Catholic university that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of health science fields. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Resurrection University was founded in 1887 by the Sisters of the Resurrection, a religious order of Catholic nuns, and was originally known as the Resurrection Hospital School of Nursing. In 1934, the school became a degree-granting institution and was renamed Resurrection College. In 2001, the college was granted university status and became Resurrection University.

The university offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees in the health sciences, including nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant, and health administration. The university also offers a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
