Ohio University-Zanesville Campus was founded in 1961 as Zanesville Branch Campus. The campus was originally part of Ohio University and offered two-year degrees. In 1968, the campus became a four-year institution and was renamed Zanesville Campus. The campus moved to its current location in 1986. The campus offers a variety of associate's and bachelor's degrees.

The campus is located on a 200-acre (0.81 km2) site in Zanesville, Ohio. The campus is adjacent to Zanesville Municipal Airport. The campus has four academic buildings, a library, a student center, and a gymnasium. The campus has an enrollment of 1,715 students.
