North Central University (NCU) is a private, evangelical Christian university located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. NCU was founded in 1930 by the General Council of the Assemblies of God. NCU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. NCU offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, counseling, music, and more. NCU's mission is to prepare students for "lives of significance and service through an education that integrates the liberal arts, professional studies, and spiritual formation." NCU has a student-to-faculty ratio of 12:1 and an average class size of 20. NCU is home to the Center for Research on Ethnicity, Culture, and Health, which conducts research on the health disparities experienced by people of color. NCU is also home to the Center for Spiritual Formation, which provides resources and programming for students, faculty, and staff to explore and deepen their faith.
