The university's sports teams are known as the Running Eagles and compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division II as a member of the Mid-South Conference. The university is also home to the Life Chiropractic College West, which is accredited by the same commission as the university.

The university also has a satellite campus in Atlanta, as well as an online division.
