Le Moyne College is a Jesuit institution in Syracuse, New York. It is the oldest college in Central New York and the fifth oldest Jesuit college in the United States. The college was founded in 1946 by the Jesuits and was named after Simon Le Moyne, a Jesuit missionary who was killed in Canada in 1649. The college offers bachelor's degrees in over 30 majors and minors, as well as master's degrees in business, education, and nursing. Le Moyne is known for its rigorous academic programs, as well as its service-learning and study abroad opportunities. The college has an enrollment of over 3,000 students and is ranked among the top regional colleges in the Northeast by U.S. News & World Report.
