Founded in 1912, the Inter American University of Puerto Rico-School of Optometry is a private, non-profit institution of higher learning dedicated to providing quality education to students from Puerto Rico and other countries in the Caribbean. The School of Optometry is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) and offers a four-year Doctor of Optometry (OD) program. The curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become competent, ethical, and successful optometrists. The School of Optometry also offers a one-year Master of Science in Vision Science (MSVS) program and a two-year residency program in Optometry.
