Founded in 1920 as a women's college, Immaculata became coeducational in the fall of 2005. The university is spread over four campuses, including the main campus in Malvern and three satellite campuses in Exton, Downingtown, and King of Prussia. The university also operates Immaculata University High School, a Catholic girls' high school located in Chester County.
The main campus of Immaculata University is located on more than 100 acres of rolling hills in Malvern, Pennsylvania, about 20 miles west of Philadelphia. The campus includes academic and administrative buildings, residence halls, a student center, a library, and athletic facilities. The university's Exton campus is located in Exton, Pennsylvania, about 35 miles west of Philadelphia. The Exton campus includes the Bruder Center, a conference and event center, and the Immaculata University Center for Faith and Culture, a retreat and conference center. The Downingtown campus is located in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, about 45 miles west of Philadelphia. The Downingtown campus includes the Immaculata Graduate School and the Immaculata College of Professional Studies. The King of Prussia campus is located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, about 20 miles northwest of Philadelphia. The King of Prussia campus includes the Immaculata School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
Immaculata University offers more than 50 undergraduate programs and 20 graduate programs. Undergraduate programs are offered through the Immaculata College of Liberal Arts, the School of Nursing and Health Professions, and the School of Business and Leadership. Graduate programs are offered through the Immaculata Graduate School and the Immaculata College of Professional Studies.
