Felician University is a private, coeducational Roman Catholic university in Lodi, New Jersey, United States. The university is sponsored by the Felician Sisters. Founded in 1942 as Immaculate Conception Junior College by the Felician Sisters, the institution was originally located in Jersey City, New Jersey. In 1973, the college relocated to Lodi and began offering bachelor's degrees in 1974. In 1984, the college was renamed Felician College and began offering graduate programs. In 2013, the college was renamed Felician University.
The university offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs to its 2,000+ students. The university is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The main campus of Felician University is located in Lodi, New Jersey, on a 38-acre site. The university also has two off-campus locations, in Rutherford and Hackensack, New Jersey.
Felician University is home to five schools: the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business and Management, the School of Education, the School of Nursing, and the School of Professional Studies. The university also has an Honors Program. The university's athletics teams compete in the NCAA Division II and are known as the Golden Falcons. The university's men's and women's basketball teams have both won the NCAA Division II national championship.
