Founded in 1974, Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) is a private, non-profit osteopathic medical school with its main campus in Blacksburg, Virginia and an additional campus in Spartanburg, South Carolina. VCOM offers the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree and trains osteopathic physicians (DOs) to provide patient-centered care.

VCOM’s mission is to prepare globally-minded, community-focused physicians who are committed to lifelong learning and serving the underserved. The college is accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) and offers a four-year DO degree program.

VCOM has a diverse student body with students coming from all over the United States and from various backgrounds. The college offers a supportive and collaborative environment with small class sizes and a low student-to-faculty ratio.
