East Texas Baptist University (ETBU) is a private Christian university in Marshall, Texas. The university is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. The school was founded in 1912 as the Marshall Junior College and became a four-year institution in 1934. The university offers bachelor's and master's degrees in a variety of disciplines.

ETBU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award bachelor's and master's degrees. The university is also a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.

The university's campus is located on 150 acres (61 ha) of land in Marshall, Texas. The campus includes several academic and administrative buildings, a library, a chapel, a gymnasium, and a residence hall.

ETBU's athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division III American Southwest Conference. The university offers a variety of intramural sports and club sports.
