Caribbean University-Bayamón (CUBA) is a private, non-profit institution of higher learning located in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. The university was founded in August of 1977 by a group of educators and community leaders. The institution is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
The university offers bachelor's and master's degrees in a variety of areas, including business administration, education, psychology, and social work. The school also has a number of research centers and institutes, such as the Center for the Study of Puerto Rican Culture, the Institute for the Study of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs, and the Puerto Rico Research and Policy Center.
CUBA has a strong commitment to service learning and community engagement. The university offers a number of programs and services that benefit the local community, such as the Bayamón Community Health Center, the Puerto Rico Science and Technology Museum, and the Puerto Rico Museum of Contemporary Art.
The university is also home to a number of athletic teams, which compete in the National Intercollegiate Athletic Association. The school's colors are blue and white, and its mascot is the dolphin.
