Bryn Mawr College is a highly selective liberal arts college for women, founded in 1885. It is one of the Seven Sisters colleges, and is part of the Tri-College Consortium with Swarthmore College and Haverford College. The college has an enrollment of about 1,350 undergraduates and 450 graduate students. Bryn Mawr is known for its rigorous academic program, its commitment to social justice, and its beautiful campus.

Bryn Mawr was founded by Quaker educator M. Carey Thomas. Thomas believed that women deserved an education that was equal to that of men, and she modeled the college after the great European universities. Bryn Mawr was the first college in the United States to offer graduate degrees to women.
