Founded in 1865, Bowie State University is one of the oldest historically black colleges and universities in the United States. The university is located in Bowie, Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. Bowie State offers more than 40 undergraduate and graduate programs, including business, education, computer science, and nursing.
