Founded in 1874, the Boston Architectural College (BAC) is a private, professional college located in the heart of Boston's historic Back Bay. The BAC offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and design studies. With an enrollment of over 1,000 students, the BAC is the largest accredited independent college of architectural design in New England.
The BAC's nine-acre campus is located in Boston's historic Back Bay neighborhood, just steps from the city's world-renowned museums, theaters, and restaurants. The BAC's main campus building, designed by noted American architect Charles McKim, is a National Historic Landmark.
The BAC's academic programs are organized into four schools: the School of Architecture, the School of Interior Architecture, the School of Landscape Architecture, and the School of Design Studies.
The BAC's School of Architecture offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture. The four-year undergraduate program leads to a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree. The two-year graduate program offers a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree.

The BAC's School of Design Studies offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in design studies. The four-year undergraduate program leads to a Bachelor of Design Studies (B.D.S.) degree. The two-year graduate program offers a Master of Design Studies (M.D.S.) degree.
The BAC is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). The BAC's undergraduate and graduate programs in architecture are accredited by the NAAB. The BAC's undergraduate and graduate programs in interior architecture are accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). The BAC's landscape architecture program is accredited by the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB).
The BAC is a member of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD), a consortium of the leading independent colleges of art and design in the United States.
