Boise State University is a public research university in Boise, Idaho. Founded in 1932 by the Episcopal Church, it became an independent junior college in 1934 and a four-year institution in 1965. Boise State offers more than 200 graduate programs, including master's degrees in business, public administration, education, engineering, nursing, and computer science, and doctorates in education and counseling psychology. The university's athletic teams, the Broncos, compete in Division I of the NCAA and are members of the Mountain West Conference. The university has an endowment of $220 million.
