Bennett College is a private, four-year historically black liberal arts college for women located in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious all-female HBCUs in the country. The school was founded in 1873 by the Rev. Dr. John L. Bennett as a co-educational institution. However, it became a women's college in 1926 and has remained so ever since. The college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
