Arkansas Tech University (ATU) is a public university in Russellville, Arkansas. The university offers programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in a variety of disciplines. ATU is a member of the Arkansas State University System and is the largest institution of higher learning in the region. The university's main campus is located on a 500-acre (2.0 km2) site in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. The university also operates a satellite campus in Ozark, Arkansas.

ATU was founded in 1909 as the Second District Agricultural School. The school became a degree-granting institution in 1925 and was renamed the Arkansas Polytechnic College in 1933. The name was changed to Arkansas Tech University in 1976. ATU offers more than 140 degree programs and has an enrollment of over 12,000 students. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

ATU is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees. The university's athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division II Great American Conference. The university is home to a number of student organizations, including fraternities and sororities, and a student newspaper. ATU also operates a radio station, a television station, and a publishing house.
