Andrews University is a private, non-profit, co-educational university located in Berrien Springs, Michigan. The university is the flagship educational institution of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and the largest of the church's higher education system in terms of enrollment. It was founded in 1874 as Battle Creek College by John Harvey Kellogg and James White, leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and it was the first college in the world established by the Adventist Church. The university now offers more than 200 undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees on its campus in Berrien Springs, at a center in South Bend, Indiana, and online through its distance education program.

Andrews University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The university is also accredited by the Adventist Accrediting Association, which is the accrediting body for Seventh-day Adventist institutions of higher learning. Andrews University is home to the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, one of the church's 13 seminaries worldwide. The seminary offers a Master of Divinity degree as well as several other graduate-level degrees.

The university's athletic teams are known as the Cardinals and compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Andrews University is also home to a chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
