American Islamic College (AIC) is a private, nonprofit Muslim college in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1980, AIC is one of the first accredited Muslim colleges in the United States. AIC's mission is to educate and train Muslim leaders who will serve the American Muslim community and the world. AIC offers bachelor's and master's degrees in Islamic Studies, as well as a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies. AIC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

AIC was founded in 1980 by a group of Muslim scholars, educators, and activists who saw the need for an institution of higher learning that would educate Muslim leaders who would serve the American Muslim community and the world. AIC's founders were inspired by the Islamic tradition of learning and the American tradition of pluralism and religious freedom.

AIC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers bachelor's and master's degrees in Islamic Studies, as well as a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies. AIC's faculty is drawn from Muslim scholars from around the world.

AIC's campus is located in the heart of Chicago's Muslim community. AIC is committed to educating the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. AIC's curriculum is designed to prepare students for leadership roles in the American Muslim community and the world. AIC graduates are prepared to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world with knowledge, compassion, and wisdom.
