Albizu University-San Juan (also known as "Albizu San Juan") is a private, non-profit university in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The university offers bachelor's and master's degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, psychology, and social work. Albizu San Juan also has a law school, which is accredited by the Puerto Rico Bar Association. The university was founded in 1966 by Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos, a Puerto Rican nationalist and leader of the Puerto Rican independence movement. The university is named after him. Albizu San Juan has a strong commitment to social justice and has been involved in a number of community service and outreach programs. The university also has a research institute, which conducts research on Puerto Rican culture and history.
